A Simply Stunning Celebration for Carla and Ralf
For newlyweds Carla and Ralf, their wedding day was all about creating a stunning wedding with ‘simplicity’ as their theme – and what a wedding it was!
Where it All Began
Having met at the restaurant where Carla worked, the pair bonded and soon became inseparable. The two adored travelling, so while on a seaside holiday together, Ralf organised a tour to a deserted sandbank. In a moment of romantic isolation, surrounded by the endless ocean, Ralf requested Carla’s hand in marriage.
It’s the Simple Things That Count
From the beginning, Carla and Ralf always knew they wanted a simple and unfussy wedding that still had a sense of style and elegance.
The couple said their “I Dos” and marked the beginning of forever at St. Joseph’s church in Enfield, before heading over to Hyde Park for their location shots.
Ballroom Bliss

Choosing the venue was easy for both Carla and Ralf. The two had attended many previous weddings at Doltone House,
where they fell in love with the space, the food and the impeccable hospitality of the staff.
The couple chose to celebrate their newly married life at Doltone House Hyde Park, enamoured by the timeless glamour of the Ballroom, with its restored heritage interiors and elevated outlook over the iconic city park.

Both Carla and Ralf loved how the patterned carpets corresponded with the original arched picture windows. Rather than detracting from the Ballroom’s look and feel, the styling was used to enhance the existing space, with dark tablecloths,
gold tableware, pale pink florals and alternating candelabras tying everything together.
A Fantastic Feast
“We had so much food… all of it was delicious!”

On arrival at Doltone House Hyde Park, guests whet their appetites with delecate pre-dinner canapes served cocktail-style. For the main event, Carla and Ralf chose a menu of contemporary takes on banquet classics. Mezze plates, prawn platters
and antipasto were served as starters to share, followed by sumptuous main dishes alternating between slow-cooked beef cheeks with creamed potatoes and porcini rolled chicken ballotine.
The Future
Ralf and Carla say they can’t wait to begin taking on new challenges as husband and wife, with their first project being renovations
on their new home. And after that? Perhaps a re-do wedding to relive the moment all over again… but that’s not for another 40 years!
